Another friday at TCP Towers (part the first)

Yes, its another Friday post from TCP Towers. It has really been one of those weeks (yes I know, it always is). However this week has been worse than most for various reasons including some very dumb lusers who want to have their cake, eat it, get second helpings, have their hands washed and taken around certain parts of St. Mary's[1] for free. Still, our announcement of time limits for lusers on our local POP has given our local newsgroups a good work out. As for why we're introducing time limits; free local phone calls all weekend and 7pm to 7am weekdays. As a result of this, a number of lusers are being really sad individuals and spending more time connected to TCP than I do at work. The said time limits are designed to alieve this problem, although the only way of really curing the problem is to feed the problem lusers (who are spending 80-90 hours a week logged on, basically all of the free call hours you could possibly use) to the more ravenous of the support trolls.

[sigh] and our boss (he who is buzzword compliant but doesn't understand any of the buzzwords) has filled in the moat around TCP Towers. The pirahnas were getting too fat :(

Anyway, the joint part of this post is:

"Miranda in Portsmouth seeks a leased line from Southampton for mutual connections and long lasting peering agreements. Must have high bandwidth, good uptimes and clean modulation. Redistribution of static routes would be highly advantageous. No time slicers or viruses please. Write to AS5600."

[1] St. Mary's is an area of Southampton that has one of those reputations.
